Came in just after the Sunday brunch. Ordered curried goat and it was well seasoned. The jerk options were more like roast pork and baked chicken but tasted good. The fried chicken could have been better seasoned. When I eat chicken at a Jamaican restaurant I expect it to be "cleaned" the yucky stuff was breaded and fried over in the chicken thighs. Good fruit punch and lemonade. The service was outstanding, two members of the waitstaff were most attentive to the kids offering them fruit and cookies, our drinks stayed full and the food was served hot.

Today, I dined at Donna's for their weekend brunch buffet and have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I am usually very cautious when it comes to buffets but it was EXCELLENT. Everything from the brown stew chicken to the fried dumplings to the fish filet. The collalloo was AMAZING!!! the ambiance is inviting and is super clean. Way worth my $19.99... I'll be back

I have only been here for breakfast (typically on the weekends). I have tried the Cornmeal Porridge, Stew Chicken, Boiled and fried dumplings, salt fish and fish fritters. All are great, not amazing but just good enough! You see the food as it is being placed into your plate. I have never stayed to eat in but they do have a brunch buffets on the weekend which look very tempting!

I had the oxtail, rice and peas with steamed vegetables and fried sweet plantain. It was really good. The plantains were actually sweet. The vegetables were cooked with thyme and some other spices which gave them a unique flavor. The food was seasoned but not overly salted. Can't rate the ambiance or price because the food was given to me.

I was so disappointed that they ran out of Chicken Soup on Monday night!!!! The best time to get food is either at the morning time, afternoon time or evening time but not past 8pm. They tend to run out of food early.

So after hearing so much about this location I decided to check it out. Nice spot to sit in a eat, clean and bright. But um.. I like the plantation location better b/c the food taste better and the prices are just right. Oh well, maybe I will check out their buffet

Cornmeal porridge was really good! The right consistency and thickness. Not too sweet and not too bland.

I tried this place twice in one day. Earlier in the day I had ackee/salf fish with banana and yam, it was nothing special, but it was edible.Second time I went I had brown stew fish and rice and peas. Before I had bought the fish I asked how much for it, and the girl said 10.99$. While she was putting the food together she asked a large older woman is this fish a small or a large and the large woman said large. When it came time to ring me out I noticed the bill was much more than I had estimated. So i asked her to enumerate the charges for the fish and the drink I had bought. Then she replied with her eyes bulging out that the fish is 13.99$, with no explanation, then she bulged our her eyes more and raised her voice and said " you do not want it". I should have left it but I took it and later called in and asked for the manager, which apparently turned out to be the large older woman. She basically said " it is only 2 dollars more", she was there the whole time the girl was there and she heard me ask the girl how much the fish cost initially. The large woman was talking over me on the phone for a while with no apology or anything. I am not going back there, even if it was free. The fish was not seasoned right, they used to much ketchup, and it was not spicy enough either.

Pretty good Jamaican/Caribbean food for the price and for being out in the suburbs. Service is pretty slow but some of them try the best they can with the small staff. The food quality seems to be going down recently. Hopefully they will pick back up.

It's official... never going back to this restaurant, Donna' s in Pembroke Pines. Horrible customer service and now pricing issues, the final straw. On several occasions I have gone into this restaurant and the customer service was so poor. Cashier was just plain old rude, not even a smile, and the manner in which she speaks to the customers, very disturbing. My most recent experience, wanted some rice and peas, and this was the only restaurant open at 7PM on a Sunday evening. I drove up asked the price of their rice and peas only. I was told 5.99 for the small, 6.99 Medium and 7.99 for the Large, tax not included. Now I have gone to other restaurants and ordered the same thing and the most I've paid for a large was ,3.93, tax included. So I left and tried to find another restaurant. None close enough was open. A small curry chicken meal was 7 something with tax (my cousin who was with me purchased one). So I figured I may as well order a meal with rice and peas and take the meat for lunch the following day. On my way back to Donnas I called and the person that answered confirmed that a small Jerk Pork was 7.12 plus tax. I asked twice, she confirmed. I pulled up sent my cousin in to pick up the food and pay for it. When she went in they told her the total was 11.12. My cousin told her we called and asked, and it was told to us it would be 7.12 plus tax. She stated no that price was not quoted. My cousin then asked how much it was for the medium rice by it self, this girl told her 7.99 plus tax. The same girl that told me 6.99.So now the same rice that was 6.99 went up to 7.99. I kindly told my cousins to come, leave it and we did without rice and peas. Done with Donna's in Pembroke Pines!
